Step by Step with Manor House Creations flowers....

I created this page using the Gorgeous Flowers from Manor House Creations, the Summer lines. I am in love with each and every one and I know you will be too.

I created this page using Country Lane Charm, Blossoms in Pink, Purple, and Grey, and Cutie Pies in Pink.

I want to show a little paint technique on this page using a few colors of Puffy Paint...

I then used this MS Punch and punched the scalloped shapes..2 White and 2 Yellow. I then adhered the yellow to the white as seen below...

I used the Little Yellow Bicycle, Elizabeth Lane Collection....Cut the Grey paper 4" X 12" and then the Border Title Strip...

You will need a 5" White paper Doily, Pearl Blings, Journal piece cut from the LYB paper, Floral with Vine cut from the LYB Papers...

Follow the steps pictured below to place the Products on your LO... I used 3 small photos...

The Next thing I added to this page was the Paint Dots...I randomly used the colors to accent the flowers...an easy step that makes a statement with colorful detail...

After adding the paint, I felt it needed a little more detail so I added the journal piece next to the photos, the Butterflies and scalloped white Lace under the title border strip....I accented the Lace with Pearl Blings and then added a piece of Twine just above the Pearls...

Now it feels complete to Me...

My Creative Scrapbook has a beautiful Album Kit for January...It's loaded with gorgeous Crate Paper, Random Collection.

I made 2 very different looking LOs with this kit...this one is piled with gorgeous flowers and strips and layers...

This one, not so many flowers but tons of strips and layers...

I guess I have "no style"....or maybe there is "no title" for it. I love to create with so many different products and design styles. Flowers rank up there in my top faves for embellishing, BUT, some times, I just like to see the paper... and who could resist these gorgeous Crate papers?!

I am posting a couple of LOs made with Nikki Sivils, My Lil Monster Collection. This may just be the cutest group of monsters, ever! I had tons of fun playing with this awesome line

This first LO has a photo of my sweetie Simon when he was 5 years old...many years ago now. I miss my children being small. Those years were incredibly fast...so hold on to your little ones, while you still can. My Simon will be 21 in November...

I scrapped a pic of Anna and a couple of friends here. This was their last time at the park, playing before Anna left for College this past August. Like I said before...time passed too quickly....Love these girls so much!

A Step by Step Version of MCS Contest Sketch...

Happy Saturday...Hope all is well in your neck of the woods this beautiful weekend...well. it's a beautiful day in Alabama...perfect temps and gorgeous blue skies.

I have a Step by Step of the awesome My Creative Sketches Contest Sketch #2 for you today. I piled so many flowers and embellishments on that you really have to look close to see the Sketch, so I thought I would share my process...Hope You Enjoy....

I used papers from Alla Prima to make this LO....You'll need some white and gold paint and the Brick Mask...this is a Prima Mask.

I used a sponge brush and painted the white over the mask first...after that dries I used a slim paint brush and just randomly made a few strokes of color on the masked area.

Next I cut the leafy image from one of the Alla Prima papers...adhere it down first as below...

I layered several of the papers below, scalloped one to mimic the sketch...Adhere on top of the leafy cut out...

I punched a few Green Dot circles to layer behind the scallop for a little more interest and color...

Added a 4 x 6 photo and a few more leafy cut outs...

Raw Wood Fence I got at Michaels...Painted about 5" of to use on this LO...

I adhered the fence and added a Prima floral vine cut into 2 pieces....

The next few pics will show the Flower Cluster Close Ups...

I want to share a little more from My Creative Scrapbook's Oct Reveal...I have the Limited Edition for you today and it is GORGEOUS! This kit has Websters Pages.....what could be better, I ask you? I adore this "All About Me" Collection so much.

I created this LO for the Video Tutorial this month...Check it out ...here

This was a little different kind of LO for me. It's a little more shabby but I liked the results. I used modeling paste on most of the background papers to give it texture...I applied it through window screen. It gives it a bumpy texture that inks up well.

My First Ever...

I have my, first ever, Canvas to share today. I have wanted to make one for quite some time but felt a little over whelmed by all the products....Do you ever love seeing others make such beautiful things and just won't take the plunges yourself. Well. that happens to me a lot, so I am conquering my fears....one project at a time...so without further ado...My Canvas... (Click Image for Close Up)

This is an 8X10 Canvas...I wanted to start small...lol! First, I covered it with Gesso, which made it a white color. I wasn't happy with the white so I painted over it with a cream color. I then used a Prima mask and light blown paint to make the leaf pattern. After that dried I dry brushed randomly with light pink and white...I am happy with the results.

I used the My Creative Scrapbook's October Flower Kit to embellish, along with some crystals from my stash...and another of my fave photos of Anna.

I am happy to finally show you this gorgeous line from Crate that I got to play with. It the perfect collection for the fall season...and My Creative Scrapbook has it for you in the Oct Main Kit. The colors in this line and the embellishments in this kit will make your scrappy hours most enjoyable...

These have to be some of my all time favorite photos of Anna. I bought several hats at the dollar store and took a few of the girls out for a little photoshoot. We had a blast playing around in the hats and the girls posed and posed... Memories to last a lifetime...and I will preserve each and every one of them...happily scrapping them.

Now here is little Lindsey-Ann getting in on the "hat" play day....she was so cute trying them on and posing or the camera...I adore this shot of her in that, too big for her, straw hat....she is the sweetest thing ever...

This photo of these 3 is special to me in so many ways. Simon and Anna include Caleb as their sibling. They grew up close and remain loyal and devoted friends and family to one another. It's such a special bond that they share. This is a special day, because, they are together. You see, Anna's off to college, Simon being all grown up, or so he thinks, and Caleb being a senior this year, it's hard to get them together...and especially for a photo. I love these kids and I miss them being little.

Don't you just love a beautiful Carousel? I know I do! We found this one at North Point mall around Atlanta Ga. We were there for Emily's birthday.....so of course I could not pass up the photo opp...lol!

Each month for 3 months beginning Sept. 17 we will provide a sketch (designed by Kim Keane) for you to create a LO. This means you will get a different Sketch in Sept., Oct., and Nov. to create a LO. There will be a different blog post for each month to load your LOs for judging. There will be 3 winners and 3 prizes each month. The first winner will be judged and chosen by the Design Team and then Pam will draw 2 random names for a prize... yes, each month. We ask that you only have one entry per month or per sketch. Everyone that creates a LOs with all 3 sketches will be eligible for another PRIZE...yes...even another PRIZE......the "GRAND" Prize....and the winner for this will be randomly drawn. BUT to qualify for the Grand prize, you must upload all 3 of your LOs on Your Blog or in the MCS contest gallery and link them here in the Link attachment on the MCS blog. Yes, the Grand Prize will be a random draw so it's any one's game at this point. So that means if you have missed a month of playing along then here is your chance to catch up and still qualify for the Grand Prize…Deadines for each month will be given as wego along each month...Awesome Contest, right???

Manor House Creations is an Australian company born in June 2011. They are also the exclusive Australian Distributor for The ScrapCake.

It was love at first site for me with Manor House Creations products. I can hardly wait to begin creating and sharing their gorgeous flowers I want to share just a few photos of their beautiful creations....really!...I am in love with this company and so so so honored to be included on their team.

Fabric Flower Tutorial

Fabric Rose Tutorial...

Cut 12" long and 3" wide piece of fabric..

Fold in half long ways and sew 1/4"from edge..

Pull up bobbin side of threads to gather...

Punch a 1 1/2" circle of paper and add pop dots...

Wrap the fabric around starting from the outside and tucking the raw edges under to hide them as you go...

The finished look...

A Little Ribbon Tech to Share...

I have a very easy ribbon treatment to share....

Simply pinch up a little of the ribbon and secure it with a staple. I did this about every 2" along the ribbon and then adhered it to the page. It's a great 3D effect for your ribbon.

A Beautiful Tray...

I had a wonderful time creating this Tray. My sweet daughter leaves for College this week and of course, that is all I can think about. So as a little tribute, I added her pics and a little reminder that "I Will Love Her Always".

The My Creative Scrapbook Limited Edition Kit along with the Flower kit for the month of Aug was perfect for creating this work of art...I adore each and every piece included in the kits. Pam is the Kit Master, for sure.

One of the best things that has happened to me during this scrapbook journey I have traveled for the last 5 or so years, are the GREAT FRIENDS I have made along the way. I have had the good fortune of meeting these girls online first , and then in person on a few awesome occasions. I am thankful for these girls and what they have added to my life. Recently we decided to scrap via syber sketch until we manage another weekend slumber party. So here is my version of the sketch and a photo of Me, Susan Goetter , and Julie Howard, yes, in our PJ's at Susan's house a couple of Summers ago...before Julie moved off to Ohio and left us behind. Oh and the paper choice...well it matches the personalities of this one of a kind group here...LOL!!! Love these Girls!!!

I use their Craft Bond Glue Spots, and Glue Stick...made adhering these paper and embellies a breeze. I also tried out their Exacto Craft Knife and LOVED it so much. I made this Lo using October Afternoon's 5 and Dime Collection and Maya Road Goodies. But I have to say it all started with this beautiful piece of May Arts ribbon that I have been hoarding for quite some time. It just happens to be my favorite ribbon ever.

The Technique Tuesday tiles that I used on this LO are part of my precious hoarded stash too... I plan to use stop all my hoarding and use those all those beautiful products...or at least most of them...lol!

I just adore May's Album Kit... It made for the perfect mix of products to create a wonderful family mini album. It includes My Minds Eye, Sassafras, Prima, Maya Road, and a Nikki Sivils House album.

Hint: to get the diminsion here, I layered small pieces of cardboard from one of my shipping boxes...

The My Minds Eye zipper trim made one awsome roof...

I added lots of family photos to this album...I debated on pics for hours befor finally just choosing some favorite shots of wondeful at home memories. I rarely ever scrap myself or even my hubby but I wanted this little album to be a special tribute to my little family. My children are home now for just a limited time befor they move on to their own lives and I just wanted a few of our special moments captured. Oh, and yes, I included the baby of our family...Max.

Reveal of My Creative Scrapbook's April Main Kit...

My Creative Scrapbook's Main Kit for April is loaded with Bo Bunny Gabrielle Collection. The beautiful peach, greens and brown are so gorgeous. I really loved working with this beautiful kit. Of course, Pam packed it with tons of beautiful embellishments. I added a little stitching here and fanfolded a piece of the paper to create the leaf effect to accent the flower... I did a little more stitching here and lots of cut work from the gorgeous papers...the Prima flocked rub-ons were are a great accent in the corner of the pic... I just love the little extras that Pam adds to the kits...this doilie was the perfect touch on this page after I inked it to match... There are plenty of stitches on this page...just in small doses all around. I love to create with negative space on my pages and this is one of my all time faves. The collection of embellishments in this kit were awesome to help accent the small areas and give fabulous details.

I made this LO using BO Bunny's Time Piece Collection. I just adore this collection for my heritage pic of my parents. I have added lots of layers here...this LO is close to 2" thick...lol! But I just love the dimension. I couldn't resist the plaid and leather trims that come in this Bo Bunny Collection. Yes, there is a little bit of a torn/inked box peaking from behind the center clock and of course I added a few stitches. There is a lot of work here but well worth the effort.

I love this old pic of my parents. My Daddy looks so cool. I believe this was taken around 1957.

I used Bo-Bunny's Time Piece Collection for this LO. I wanted this LO to have an extreme layered effect, so I actually fan-folded the beige paper and tore the edges before I placed it under the pic here. I used strips of cardboard to make the dark brown layer stand taller so I could add the gathered lace under it.

Yes, I have been playing with this cool zipper trim from Maya Road. I added the little zipper tab from my sewing stash. I just love the cool effect it gives the page. There are lots of colors and tons of ways to use this stuff. The paper I used here is from We R Memory Keepers , Retro Glam collection. I love all things Jillibean's but I especially love the New Blossom Soup Collection! It's bright, happy and FUN! It's everything scrapbook paper should be and even cuter! OK, Just because so many of you have asked so many times…

My Creative Scrapbook is happy to announce:

“Our First Ever Public Guest Design Team Call”

The call is open from February 16, 2011 through March 16, 2011.
We will announce the new Guest Design Team on our blog and in our forum on April 5, 2011.
We are looking to fill spots for Guest Design Team positions but hint, hint, we have chosen our permanent DT members from our past Guest DT members.
Within these positions we are looking for skills in creating layouts, mini albums, cards, altered items and sketches.
We would like to have 2 Guest designers per month and we are hoping to find enough fantastic designers to create with us for 6 months. So that means that we need 12 Guest Designers total. Once we have made our choices then we will assign each Guest Designer their month.
We want you…”if”…you are a creative, energetic, and ambitious and want to have fun creating with us.

Our Expectations of Guest Designers:
- Open communication skill.
- Consistent style and range and ability to design and showcase our kit supplies.
- Teamwork, cooperation and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to create layouts, cards and altered projects on a more experienced skill level.
- Ability to teach techniques with written instructions and/or step by step photos or video.
- Photography skills to produce clear and accurate photos of your projects.

Guest Design Team Requirements:
- Active participation in our forum including the message board and galleries. (This is a must for all.)
- 3 Layouts and 1 card/altered item per kit per month.
- Step by step picture or video tutorial to share with our members in our forum on a rotating basis using a kit.
- Head up challenges for our members in our forum on a rotating basis.
- Give a tip each month from a project you created using our kit.
- Note: We ask that you “not” Design/Guest Design for another kit club while with My Creative Scrapbook but MFG teams and Online Sketch sites…etc. are fine.

What’s in it for you?
- Each month you will receive a kit packed with the latest and greatest products to create with.
- We will post your projects in our Main DT Gallery.
- We will submit your DT projects to the Manufacturers for appreciation and exposure.
- We have a drama free environment and have lots of fun.
- You will be working with a great group of friendly and talented designers that work together to inspire and uplift one another.

Please submit:
- 3 Layouts and 1 card/altered project that bests represents your style. Files should be 500 pixels.
(Please share any specialties, such as mini albums, sketches…etc.)

This grand Limited Edition Kit is full of Graphic 45, Basic Grey and Prima. It's luscious! You have to see this kit to believe it. Pure awesomeness in a bag!

I had the best time scrapping this page....I plan to do a tutorial for creating the ribbon technique at My Creative Scrapbook soon...so stay tuned....

The Main Kit is LOADED with lots and lots of gorgeousness. There is Echo Park, Teresa Collins, Prima and Even American Craft in there...whew! Makes for some mighty good scrappy hours.

Oh yes! A blast from the past photo...Me and hubby many years ago....ahaha!

Even more layers....These KITS are packed with goodies!!!

A little whimsy here with the background cut away from the photo and the center cut from the die sheet. The ribbon effect was created by making a gaped box pleat fold and adhering it under the layer of cardstock and chipboard.

The Album kits is filled with gorgeous Bo Bunny. The collection is Crazy Love and it's Crazy awesome to play with. I love the mix of brown, red and pink. The birds and bees make for great embellishing. I hope you'll check out the entire album over in MCS' DT gallery....

Album Kit...

The Creative kit is loaded with fantastic products from Fancy Pants, KI Memories, and Prima. The colors are bold, bright and beautiful!

Creative Kit.....

Hand stitching is my favorite embellishment. I wanted to add a touch of extra color and accent the curves in this LO.

I added many layers here using the borders from the kit and a pleated ribbon. I pleated the ribbon using my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher and hid the staples under the borders.

This busy floral background works great with all the cut up die cut papers. I like the layers and contrast ...I wanted to calm business of the LO and bring the attention to the photo. I pleated the ribbon in a box pleat style and added a single hand stitch in cream floss to each fold to enhance the folds.

Yes, this is a super simple LO...I used layers of paper and machine stitches to accent this beautiful photo of my sweet daughter.

Here is a wall hanging I created using Nikki' brand new Summer Collection and her Scalloped Mini Album. The colors and graphics are perfect for all your summer photos and projects... I can hardly wait to crack this out again for creative fun. It has to be the PERFECT Summer Line!!!
I enhanced the images with a little Glossy Accents and some Puffy Paint. Nikki's brads are the perfect finishing touch.
